Virtual Learning Lab: Introduction to Probability I

March 24, 2020

Institute for Educational Advancement - Connecting bright minds; nurturing intellectual and personal growth

What is probability? How is it applicable to our daily lives? In this video, 2023 Caroline D. Bradley Scholar Arul Kolla discusses probability and its mathematical and practical applications. We explore the notation used by mathematicians, probability trees and sample spaces, the Principle of Inclusion-Exclusion, and many others. We finish with an activity allowing one to verify the results in the video, rather than just accepting them.
